News and Signings

Murder at the Petroglyphs

Thankfully, Murder at the Petroglyphs, Harrie McKinsey Mystery #4,  arrived on my doorstep in time for my first private event. I had signed up to appear at a local group’s annual banquet and convention. People were glad to see the new book.

On Sunday, December 22, 2019, we had the public premiere!

Treasure House was the debut signing for Murder at the Petroglyphs. Treasure House (if you didn’t already know) is located on the south side of the Plaza, across from the bandstand, in Old Town Albuquerque. We had a good crowd and sold lots of books. Everyone seemed to enjoy the cookies, too!

If you weren’t able to make it to that signing, keep in mind that Treasure House Books & Gifts always carries copies of all my books. I left a nice supply down there on December 22.

Of course, the other three books will also be available in case you’ve missed any of them.

On Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, I’ll have my traditional  signing at Treasure House Books & Gifts in Old Town Albuquerque. My first book, The Easter Egg Murder, came out just before Easter in 2013, and Treasure House provided me my first signing. It was spectacular, and I’ve repeated the event each year. Lots of writers avoid signings on Easter Sunday, but for me, they have significance and a special incentive. The Easter Egg Murder always sells better than the other books on Easter Sunday! Go figure.

The signing will be from 1 until 3 p.m. (perhaps longer if needed) at Treasure House. The address (in case you haven’t been there yet) is 2012 S. Plaza NW. It’s on the south side of the Plaza with a large window facing the Bandstand at the Plaza. Come by and say “Hello”– even if you already own all the books! I’ll be looking for you!

On Sunday, May 2, 2020, you can find me at Organic Books, 111 Carlisle Blvd. SE. I’ll be there from 3:00 pm until around 4:30. The Steve Brewer family opened this well-placed store in November 2018. Steve is a famous author of many amazing books. His first mystery in the Bubba Mabray series is set in Albuquerque. I found out a movie based on that book came out, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. It’s absolutely hysterically funny. I highly recommend both the book and the movie.

Make it a point, if you can, to come see me for this event. My newest book, Murder at the Petroglyphs, will be available at Organic Books for the first time.

Stay tuned for information about upcoming events!

I first learned about your books from your husband when we happened to sit next to you at the alb little theater, during a performance of Arsenic and Old Lace. You gave me one of your cards. My husband bought me The Easter Egg Murder and I really enjoyed it as well as your second book. When does number 3 come out?

    1. Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. I remember meeting you that night and I’m delighted you enjoyed both books! It’s always a pleasure, as you might imagine, to hear from someone who enjoyed the books! The new one, Murder on Frequency, I hope to have out sometime this summer.
